Your hosting organisation

The Jugendfarm Esslingen is an interactive outdoor playground based on a farm. Children of all ages can visit the farm, interact with animals, play, and learn in an engaging environment. Individuals as well as groups and classes up to the sixth grade are amongst the regular visitors.  The farm is located in a small forest, a few minutes away from downtown Esslingen.
 

Your tasks as a volunteer

• Support the staff in all areas of work, such as caring for the animals, practical work around the farm as well as janitorial tasks
• Care for the visiting children, show them how to handle the animals and how to care for them (cleaning, feeding, etc.)
• Help plan, deliver and develop the camps during school breaks
   

Requirements

• Intermediate level of English or German preferred
   

Key facts

• 24 vacation days
• 36 weekly hours
• During school breaks, you will work Monday through Friday, while school is in session, you will work Tuesday through Saturday; hours will roughly be from 9:45am to 5:30pm
• Free lunch will be provided by the hosting organisation
